The importance of Riyadh Masters 2024 cannot be understated. Firstly, the championship is the culmination of the second season of the ESL Pro Tour. Since September 2023, teams have been competing in top EPT points tournaments to qualify for the Riyadh event.

However, it is worth noting that in order to receive the title of “best esports club”, an organization must win the tournament in at least one discipline. Thus, the champion of the Dota event will significantly increase his chances of becoming the leader in the club rating.

Riyadh Masters 2024 Format and Schedule
The International Dota Championship consists of 15 days of play, divided into three stages. The first stage is the play-in, where 12 winners of the regional qualifiers will compete, divided into two groups.
Based on the results of a series of best-of-2 matches in the “round robin” format, the top three teams from each group will be determined, which will immediately advance to the second phase, and the worst will exit the event. The remaining participants will compete with the representatives of the parallel group for the last two places in the second phase.

The second group stage will then begin, where the best lineups from the first stage will be joined by teams that have received direct invitations to Riyadh Masters 2024. The participants will again be divided into groups of eight teams, where each will battle it out against each other in a best-of-2 format.
As a result, the teams in the top 4 of their groups will advance to the upper bracket of the playoffs, the 5th and 6th places will go to the lower bracket and the rest will be eliminated from the championship.
The final phase is a double-elimination bracket with series of up to two victories, except for the grand final, which will be played in a best-of-five format.
