Russian defenseman Dmitry Kulikov signed a one-year contract with the Florida Panthers, according to the official website of the National Hockey League.
The one-sided contract is valued at $1 million.
Kulikov was selected 14th overall by Florida in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft and played his first seven seasons in the league with the Panthers, after which he changed clubs for seven.
Kulikov started last season in Anaheim, played 61 games, scored 3 goals and provided 12 assists. The hockey player was later traded to Pittsburgh, he spent six games with the new team, in which he scored one assist. After that, the 32-year-old picked up an injury and was out for the rest of the season.
In total, the defenseman played 872 games in his career, in which he scored 214 (45 + 169) points.
