Two-time Olympic swimming champion Evgeny Rylov explained under what conditions he will not compete in international competitions.
Previously, WSF President Vladimir Salnikov said that one of the criteria for admitting athletes from the Russian Federation would be a declaration. Its content is still unknown.
“Yesterday I reread the recommendations. You can count on one hand which athletes can adapt to their conditions. If necessary, everyone will go, but I can say it clearly: if I have to sign a statement, I will refuse,” Match TV quotes Rylov.
Please note that the IOC did not officially invite Russia to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
