The honored coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova agrees with the three-time Olympic champion Irina Rodnina, who invited Roman Kostomarov to become president of the Russian Figure Skating Federation.
“I think it’s a good idea. I would support such an initiative,” Metarating quoted Tarasova as saying.
Recall that the 46-year-old skater was in intensive care on January 10 with pneumonia. He was soon hooked up to a ventilator. Kostomarov subsequently had to undergo several arm and leg amputations.
On July 6, Kostomarov himself announced his discharge.
