Distinguished USSR coach Tatyana Tarasova commented after Olympic ice dance champion Roman Kostomarov posted a new prosthetic training video.
“The fact that Kostomarov continues to cope and does not give up makes me delight and admire. Without a doubt, he is one of the most outstanding athletes I have ever seen, ”Sport-Express quotes Tarasova as saying.
Earlier this year, Kostomarov was hospitalized with a severe form of pneumonia in critical condition. As a result of complications and tissue necrosis, doctors were forced to amputate parts of his hands and feet.
