In high performance sport, very young people have long been observed to die suddenly before reaching the age of 30. The trend is quite sad, and the more and more seriously the load on athletes increases, the more tragedies it becomes.
However, not only heart diseases are becoming younger, which can be attributed to crazy loads, but also oncology, which obviously cannot be called banal. The scourge of the 21st century, without the ability to predict when this attack may reach. Sad things happen more and more often. And today this infection has alienated another young man from Russian sports. A handball student Shcherbinovsky, the leader and top scorer of the Belgorod Spartak-Technologist club, Nikita Zadorozhny, died of blood cancer before the age of 28.

Zadorozhny’s greatest successes came in beach handball. In 2015, the left winger of the Belgorod club won the European Youth Championship as part of the Russian national team, he also won the Russian beach handball championship three times, as well as the Russian Cup, where Nikita also became the top scorer of the tournament in 2020. In classical handball as part of Spartak-Technologist, he twice became the winner of the Major League.
The head coach of the Belgorod team, Sergey Kramskoy, speaks well of Zadorozhny, for whom this loss was a real tragedy, because under the leadership of Kramskoy, Nikita played for the Belgorod club for ten years in a row, without even thinking that he could realize your sporting talent elsewhere.
“Last May, Nikita suffered a serious knee injury that required surgery,” Kramskoy told TASS. – Recovery after that lasted a long time, even a year later it was difficult for him to participate in training. One day he sent me a great message in which he said that he was not going to be able to return to handball and help the team, because he had been diagnosed with blood cancer. This message was like a blow to the head.

“His mother has been fighting cancer for 15 years, in all probability, this disease was inherited by him,” the technician continued. -We often corresponded with him, he believed that she could cope with the disease and return to normal life. The last time we spoke was about ten days ago, then he said that his game number should be given to a capable young boy and wished him good luck in the upcoming matches.
“He was the hardest worker, he showed that short players can also achieve great results in handball, with his hard-working attitude he earned respect and authority in the team. The moderator is crazy: he did not drink or smoke, there are practically no such people now. Losing such children at that age is just terrible, he only got married two years ago, ”Kramskoy said.
For our parents, the greatest tragedy in life is surviving our children. Therefore, I would like to express sympathy and more strength to them, because you would not wish such tragedies on your enemy either.
