The decline of the German team continues. And if after the World Cup everyone thought that this was a point of no return, then it only became the starting point.
The Germans repeated their anti-record from the last World Cup. The team failed to advance from the group at the World Cup for the second consecutive time. Until then, Germany had never in its history missed the playoffs of the main tournament on the planet. And all this after the 2014 championship.
But four years is an important period for football. But you can take advantage of the last World Cup. After all, no more than a year has passed, the composition has hardly changed and the same coach remains the same.
The German group at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was more than acceptable. The status Spaniards, who have also performed on the world stage in recent years, not without problems, and the obvious outsiders Japan and Costa Rica. The German team could only win once in such a quartet. And this happened in the final match: then Costa Rica was defeated. But not without problems either (4:2).
