“I will make the most ambitious statement, but personally I want to hold on to the top six. Furthermore, those thoughts were already in my head even before we started discussing this topic with the girls on the team. Many of them reacted with surprise to such words, but I stubbornly remain: I want to be in the top six! It is better to strive to reach as high as possible, believe and fight for it. Here, of course, it is also important that such statements are not followed by major disappointments. But everything is in our hands,” the club’s press service quotes Makhneva.
In the first round match, Luch lost to CSKA with 24:31. On September 12, as part of matchday 2 of the Super League, the team will play as a visitor against Kuban.
It should be noted that last season the Moscow team took 12th place in the regular season.
