In the first match of the eighth round of the RPL, Dynamo lost the victory at the end of the match against Paris NN and the possibility of catching up with the championship leader, Krasnodar, on points.
The most expensive newcomer to the RPL, Brazilian Bitello, whom Dynamo bought from Gremio on the last day of the summer transfer window for 10 million euros, was included in the squad for the match against Paris NN, but started the meeting on the bench. A surprise from Marcel Lička was the inclusion of 18-year-old central defender Lepski in the starting eleven. Before that, Ivan was in the squad seven times for the Championship and Russian Cup matches, but he did not play a single minute.

Sergei Yuran’s team, who could still lead Paris NN after undergoing surgery, had not scored a single goal away from home before this round, but in the first minutes they came closer to the goal. First, the loss of Chávez led to Troshechkin’s first shot on goal, and then the not very tall Sevikyan beat Lepsky to the air thanks to his choice of position and almost a header. But the game of the Nizhny Novgorod team was ruined by a mistake by the captain.
Gotsuk “caused” the penalty out of nowhere. For some reason, the centre-back raised his leg and fouled Tyukavin, even though the ball was already out of bounds. Judge Kukulyak went to watch the “movie” and, thanks to the replay, awarded a penalty. Furthermore, Gotsuk quickly received a yellow card. The shot from 11 meters was taken by Smolov, not without a bit of panache. Fedor again repeated the famous footballer, only this time not Panenka, but Jorginho. The striker jumped from the penalty spot and shot in such a way that goalkeeper Nigmatullin had no reason to jump: the ball flew off the post and into the net.
With the score 1:0, Dinamo controlled the game. The blue and white moved well and moved the ball, the new Chávez-Laxalt pairing worked usefully in the center of the field (91 touches of the ball between them in 45 minutes, the Mexican was generally the leader in statistics). Before the break, the locals took 10 shots on goal. But Dynamo shot poorly (only two hits on goal) or the last pass was not enough. And the Nizhny Novgorod team improved at the end of the first half and created a couple of scoring chances. One of them was after a corner kick, when Juran apparently demanded that the referees call a penalty when he noticed some type of infraction.
The second half had to answer the question of whether the course of the match was changing or whether Dynamo were simply tired, loosened their grip and half-time would return the game to its previous course. Obviously, the problem lay with the owners themselves. The blue and white once again began to recover the ball quickly and high and controlled what was happening on the field. And at the end of the hour of the match, Lichka decided to pamper the fans and add fire to the attack: he released Bitello! It is striking that physically the Brazilian, of course, is far from being an athlete. This means that he will make a difference because of the technology and intelligence of the game.
Bitello, who played on the right, did not quickly find himself on the field. In attack, he made a couple of decisions that were not the best, in defense he was late to Karapuzov: he missed the dangerous run of the former Dynamo player towards the goal, he did not have time to block his shot from outside the area ( Shunin’s salvation saved him). But it is still not possible to strictly judge a newcomer who has just arrived in Russia. Even Hulk and Malcolm did not immediately shine in the RPL. Furthermore, 15 minutes later, Bitello, with a brilliant cross, created a chance for Skopintsev, who did not score from a decisive position. Paris NN received a penalty in the same minutes after a free kick awarded for a foul by Lepsky on Sevikyan. However, this time the referee took note of his own decision: the ball hit Dasa’s immobilized hand.
It seemed that thanks to a series of substitutions, Dinamo would continue to face the high rival and lead the game to victory, but in the 88th minute the lack of will to dry up the game still prevented the team from maintaining a minimal advantage. It was impossible to avoid gaps in the lines, the locals failed in a three-on-four counterattack. Paris NN’s goal was scored by their substitutes, who made their debut with Juran’s team today: the Uruguayan Bosegli gave an assist and Kutateladze scored. But how! The striker managed to shoot with his heel; Shunin, apparently, was not expecting it.
Bitello’s debut is not the brightest (17 touches of the ball, 69% accurate passes, one pass under attack and zero shots) it is not the best result for Dynamo. The blue and white team was beaten 3:6 on two occasions.
