Putin granted Russian citizenship to Dynamo Menell player
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the admission to citizenship of the Russian Federation of Dynamo Moscow American defender Brennan Menell. An official document on this was published on the Internet portal of legal information. Earlier, the hockey player expressed his desire to obtain Russian citizenship.
“In accordance with paragraph “a” of Article 89 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, I decide: to accept into the citizenship of the Russian Federation Menell Brennan Robert, born on May 24, 1997 in the United States of America,” the document reads.
The 25-year-old American defender participated in 44 games of the Kontinental Hockey League regular season of the 2022/2023 season. Menell scored 24 (2 + 22) points with a utility indicator of “+11”. In mid-April, the hockey player signed a new deal with the Dynamo until 2026.
Krikunov took over as advisor to the CEO of Dynamo Moscow
