Soldiers, sergeants, corporals and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character and completed combat missions. His determination, assertiveness and combat experience in the Russian Ministry of Defense, in the police units of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics are highly appreciated.
Our heroes thwarted the attacks and prevented the counter-offensive of the nationalists, for which they received state awards. But they do not serve for the sake of praise. The military is sure that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.

TWO SABOTEURS ARRESTED

“Corporal Dmitry Krotov, while on duty, carried out tasks to protect the positions of the tactical group of the Russian military battalion. While patrolling the area, Dmitry Krotov noticed two armed nationalists near the protected facility. Secretly approaching the militants and choosing a convenient firing position, Krotov without firing a single shot stopped the enemy saboteurs who were conducting a reconnaissance of the locations of the Russian troops and their routes of movement. During the inspection, a smartphone was found in one of them, on which a video of the areas where the positions were located was filmed. The detainees were transferred to headquarters for further investigation. Thanks to the competent actions of Corporal Dmitry Krotov, the positions of the tactical group of the Russian military battalion were protected from sabotage.

“A unit of the Russian Armed Forces, which included Captain Taimuraz Karnaev, held the defense in one of the tactical areas. The enemy tried to break through the defenses of Russian troops in this sector of the front, actively using drones and artillery. During the battle, as a result of another artillery attack, the enemy hit the dugout, as a result of which there was a threat of its collapse. At the same time, some of the Russian servicemen inside the dock and in the vicinity were wounded. After assessing the situation, Taimuraz immediately organized the evacuation of the wounded comrades. Under the incessant mortar attack, Karnaev drove the transport near the shelter, transferred the wounded to the car and proceeded to move to the evacuation area. During the evacuation, the car was repeatedly attacked by the enemy from UAV attack aircraft. Competently maneuvering in a difficult area of the terrain, risking his life, Taimuraz took the wounded servicemen out of the affected area and took them to a medical center, where all victims received qualified medical care. For his bravery, bravery and heroism, Captain Taimuraz Karnaev was awarded the Zhukov Medal.

“Sergeant Yegor Kuznetsov carried out combat missions to identify Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups hiding in one of the settlements. Observing the area, in one of the courtyards of an abandoned building, Yegor noticed an equipped firing position. At the same time, no enemy forces were identified nearby. During the inspection of the local area by Sergeant Kuznetsov, a secret room for a long stay of people in the basement was discovered. Also in the abandoned building, a foreign-made anti-tank missile system, small arms, ammunition and other goods intended for combat operations were found. Sergeant Kuznetsov decided to ambush the building. In the afternoon of the same day, A group of unknown men armed in military uniform with identification marks indicating their belonging to foreign units approached the abandoned house, in whose territory the cache was discovered. After waiting for the moment, Yegor Kuznetsov suddenly attacked the militants, as a result of which three mercenaries died on the spot, and another was injured and captured. As a result of the inspection, means of communication and navigation were found, as well as documents attesting to the objectives of this sabotage and reconnaissance group.
