Tuktamysheva won an intelligence competition against Zagitova and fans laced up their skates!

Incredibly exciting challenges on the second day of the Channel One Cup.
From season to season, our figure skating federation modernizes its own new tournaments, introducing interesting features that did not exist before. This was successful in the show jumping championship (not without drawbacks, but they were not significant), and is now being repeated in the Channel One Cup.
In addition to three teams with three captains (Alina Zagitova, Anna Shcherbakova and Elizaveta Tuktamysheva), unprecedented stages and events appeared in the tournament program. On the first day of competition an unusual battle of elements took place and the fans really enjoyed it.

On the second day, in addition to free programs, a captains’ contest and a challenge with fans were planned. It was a bit of a shame that no rules were published in advance; perhaps both fans and journalists would have been interested in anticipating the competition between Alina, Anna and Elizaveta with more precise presentations.
But before the start of the captains’ competition clarifications finally followed. The famous figure skaters had to compete in:
skating skills, intellectual competence, collecting ice toys.
Anna Shcherbakova has not yet overcome her injury, so in two disciplines, the first and the third, she was replaced by her ice dance namesake.
The skating skills test began with an obstacle course: participants and their teams had to avoid obstacles as quickly as possible without crashing into anything. Of the captains, Alina Zagitova was the first to overcome the obstacle course without crashing into anything. Elizaveta Tuktamysheva came in second place and Shcherbakova Jr. came in third place.
But the calculation was based on the results of all skaters, so the third place was taken by Shcherbakova’s “blue” team, the second by Zagitova’s “white” team, and the first by Tuktamysheva’s “red” team. The referees noticed that the “reds” were particularly clean.

The intellectual competition consisted of testing the captain’s knowledge of his team. Maxim Trankov asked the girls questions about his skaters and they had to give as many correct answers as possible in one minute. Shcherbakova answered five questions correctly, Zagitova – seven, Tuktamysheva – eight! Lisa also defeated her rivals in the toy collecting competition, earning her second victory in the non-standard competition.

Zagitova won again in the amateur challenge!
For a challenge with the fans, three spectators were called to a specially designated box. A young man competed for Tuktamysheva, and the girls for Zagitova and Shcherbakova. The competitions were again divided into three stages:
Who I am? (the captains silently showed the fans their team’s skaters); true/false (fans had to guess the truth of the fact about their captain); Gritsaenko’s skates (tying skates to gain speed).
Anna Shcherbakova was the most successful at the first competition: she managed to show seven skaters in front of her fans! Alina and Lisa fared a little worse: four each. But Tuktamysheva’s admirer distinguished himself in the second round, correctly answering up to 12 questions about Elizabeth!
Ultimately, Zagitova’s team won the quick lacing competition. Maxim Trankov repeatedly mocked Artyom Gritsaenko, for whom the incident with a cord at the Russian Championships turned out to be fatal, and Mikhail Kolyada gave the guys a quick master class on this difficult activity.
