Aljamain Sterling talks about possible retirement
The UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61 kg), the American Aljamain Sterling spoke about the moment of the end of his professional career.
“I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately. I don’t know, usually I just think about the fight ahead of me. I’m not at the age where I already have enough money. Motivation is still about money. When I retire, I want to receive interest on which I could live comfortably and go about my business: podcasting, coaching. Or maybe teach at school.
Who knows? Maybe it’s a job as a UFC analyst and something. I think I have many options. I think I’ll get at least five more UFC wins to get to 20,” Sterling said on his YouTube podcast.

Sterling: Let’s be honest, O’Malley only had one real opponent and that was Ian.
Reigning UFC bantamweight champion (up to 61kg), American Aljamain Sterling, believes that his advantage over compatriot Sean O’Malley can be determined, among other things, by the level of his opposition.
“Let’s be honest, out of all his fights, he’s only had one worthy opponent who he beat by split decision and who’s still in the UFC, and that’s Petr Yan. Everyone else is no longer in the UFC.
Look at my resume, it’s still there, I’ve beaten a lot of upper class guys and it all brought me here and made me strong. And it will be clear on fight day,” Sterling said in an interview with TMZ.

UFC 292 will take place on the night of August 19-20. The preliminaries start at 01:30 Moscow time. The main card fights will start at 05:00 Moscow time.

Sandhagen predicts fight between Sterling and O’Malley
American mixed martial arts fighter Corey Sandhagen gave a prediction for the title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley.
“Aljamain is a super tough opponent. O’Malley hasn’t been tested by high-profile fighters, with the exception of the last fight against Petr Yan, which he came incredibly close to. So Sterling will be a big test for Sean. You cannot “sleep” when you are fighting Aljamain.
I’m sure Sterling will win. He’ll just pick up O’Malley. Aljamain is a great fighter and a phenomenal fighter. This is not the best opponent for O’Malley, ESPN quotes Sandhagen.
