The summer break in the RPL flies by in a flash, so while the transfer window has been open for some time, clubs have little time to step up ahead of the opening rounds. Spartak also affected this problem. The season starts in a week and a half, and the rojiblancos have yet to sign a single signing. But surely the team needs to be strengthened, the only question is which positions to buy players for. We suggest you answer this question with the help of our rating.

Spartak need a central defender
Georgy Jikia, Nikita Chernov, Alexis Duarte, Pavel Maslov and an additional option in the form of a universal Ruslan Litvinov. It seems that this set is enough. But all is not so simple. Jikia is injury-prone, Duarte makes mistakes amid a lengthy adaptation, and Maslov is yet to return to his top form after a lengthy recovery. Then the strengthening of the center of defense is suggested. At Spartak, apparently, they are also aware of the personnel problem. It wasn’t just that news broke that the club was interested in Tottenham Hotspur’s Colombian defender Davinson Sánchez.

Spartak need a flank defender
During the last season, the team had a complete set: the universals Tomasz Tavares and Daniil Khlusevich, Daniil Denisov playing on the right and Leon Klassen running on the left. Now the situation has become more complicated due to the injury of the Portuguese. Tavares broke the “crosses” again and it is unlikely that he will return before the winter break. Spartak need a center forward
It seems that the most frequent rumors about Spartak in recent times are related to the departure of Shamar Nicholson. The Jamaican striker started very well under the command of Paolo Vanoli, but deflated after the arrival of Abascal and rarely scores. In the event of Nicholson’s sale, Spartak will be left with two specialized center forwards in the person of Alexander Sobolev and Keith Balde. There is also Pavel Melyoshin, but it is not yet clear whether he is ready to be a full-fledged competitor for star partners. Are there not enough players in this position?

Spartak need a winger
Abascal, of course, likes to rearrange players on the field, but Spartak has a really tense situation with wingers. Quincy Promes sent off for a more stellar partner on the right flank Anton Zinkovsky, Viktor Moses retrained as a central midfielder, and that’s it! There are, of course, Keita Balde and Mikhail Ignatov, but they have other specialist positions. It is better not to conduct such experiments at a distance.
Apparently, at least one new winger will appear in Spartak in the near future. Even the president of the Spanish club no longer hides the fact of the transfer of Theo Bongonda from Cádiz, but the deal has not yet been officially announced.

“Spartak” does not need newcomers – the team is fully staffed
Spartak currently has 29 players, more than Zenit. Yes, and experts unanimously say that Abascal’s team has one of the strongest clips in the RPL. So maybe there is no need to change anything in this case? Who knows, suddenly in the new season Spartak with the same lineup will achieve better results. If so, choose this option.
