Starting with the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix, we start a new section. We, as before, evaluate the performance of all drivers ourselves, but now, after the end of the race, we invite you to choose the worst driver yourself. Also, in this qualifying survey, we urge you to evaluate the performance of the drivers on race day. That is, it turns out such an award “Rider of the Day upside down.”
According to the results of the race at Spielberg, the editors selected five contenders for the title of worst driver, and now only you will determine the name of the “laureate”.

Even if Helmut Marko said it was one of the best races of the Dutchman’s season, you shouldn’t be too happy: the bar is low. De Vries was last in the standings and not to mention that he showed himself especially in the main race. Plus 15 seconds for breaking track limits and 5 for pushing Magnussen to the side of the road.

In the feature race, the Brit found himself with two penalties at once and complaining over the radio too much, to the point that the driver had to be mollified by Toto Wolf. As a result, a sad eighth place, and the second penalty kicked Hamilton into the protocol for a partner.

Not to say that the Dane did a terrible thing in Austria – he just had a weak weekend and got lost at the bottom of Hulkenberg. In the main race because of Magnussen unpleasant achievement: the last place.

Esteban Ocon
The Frenchman is the author of a unique achievement: already after the end of the race, Esteban managed to earn four fines at once for violating the track limits! That is, even against the background of the general mess, Windows stood out with a huge number of bugs. And in general, there is a feeling that Esteban has not fully realized Alpin’s potential.

Alpha Tauri did not drive much in Austria and Tsunoda decided to escalate the situation. The Japanese took the biggest risk at the start, got on the inside and, as expected, broke the front wing, and after that he also drove on gravel. Let’s remember the Japanese and 15 second penalty for violating the limits of the route.
