The president of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation does not believe her pupils will be allowed to participate in the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
It was previously known that the FIG allowed Russian athletes to compete in international competitions in a neutral state from January 2024.
“At the same time, they say that even if we reach the Olympics by selection, participation in the Olympics itself will still be decided. I don’t think so. Of course, we will talk, but I don’t think we will perform at the 2024 Olympics, because at the last minute they may decide that Russia is not allowed,” Match TV quoted Wiener as saying.
It should be added that from September 15 to 29, 2024, the World Friendship Games will be held, in which gymnasts will participate. The competitions will be held in Russia.
