The Dynamo-CSKA match, although it has high-profile derby status, does not have any special integrity, like some other matchups in the RPL. Both teams look pretty good in the championship, but not without problems. For some reason, CSKA has a lot of difficulties with weak opponents: they lost to Ural and Fakel, conceded two goals from Akhmat. But Dynamo, on the contrary, disgustingly defends against anyone who is at least more or less good: they received three goals each from Krasnodar, and two – and Krylya Sovetov, as well as two from Zenit.
The first hint of a dangerous moment was created by Dynamo, but after a minute or two, the team downright screwed up. Nobody prevented the “army” players from passing through the midfield, which would be quite appropriate if the blue and whites blocked all possible options for developing an attack, but this was far from the case. A long diagonally cut pass came completely free to Kirill Glebov, who from the lyceum turned his back on Maxim Mukhin, who was also completely alone. Anton Shunin parried the blow, but the ball bounced off Anton Zabolotny, who was not covered by anyone. Yes, the goalie could have played more confidently on the rebound, but it’s hard to make any claims against him when defenders misfired terribly in this episode, leaving three opposing players completely free at once at their gates.
Ten minutes later, Dynamo had a chance to level the score – the players ran away “three to two”: Konstantin Tyukavin, with his opening in the center, competently took one of the defenders behind him, and Denis Makarov burst into the open area. . After that, the game calmed down a bit, but Sasha Zdelar sharply encouraged everyone, who tried to throw the ball at Shunin, who had come out of the gate, from his half of the field. CSKA almost doubled their advantage from the corner taken in this way: Willian Rocha elegantly broke away from Daniil Fomin and narrowly missed the goal. The ball flew at such a speed that the goalkeeper couldn’t do anything.
There was also a great backheel pass from Kirill Nababkin to Zabolotny, but the attacker, who never differed in speed, was completely disoriented and missed the moment. True, at the beginning of the second half, the defender scored negatively, when he lost the ball right into his goal, and Ngamale calmly shot at Vladislav Torop. After that, Tyukavin and Makarov had great chances to score a goal, but both passed from lethal positions.
But the decisive goal was scored from the penalty spot. It is interesting that Zabolotny, the scorer of the first goal of the match, put his hand on him, and in the literal sense of the word. It was his hand that blocked the passage of the ball after Dmitry Skopintsev’s shot, which was the reason for the penalty. Fedor Smolov stepped up to the ball and shot quite confidently, hard and over the top. True, Torop should also be praised: he did everything he could, guessed the direction and even touched the ball a little.

The game came out great, really spectacular. Neutral viewers may be happy, but CSKA fans are probably now surprised how their team managed to remain pointless in such a match. In the first half, the “soldiers” had many dangerous chances, but only managed to convert one. As a result, the “import” at the beginning of the second half and a penalty kick led to defeat. After the break, Dynamo already missed some great moments, but in the end they managed to snatch all three points from them. Definitely, the Blue and Whites were lucky that in the first half they didn’t concede more, and after the break they definitely played much more interesting than before. And in the end they were rewarded with a derby victory.
