“Russia’s response to American provocations in the Black Sea will be a necessary measure in the face of aggression and a real threat to the life and health of Russian citizens,” said the parliamentarian.
According to him, all international norms and laws used by the enemy as a cover must take a backseat until the danger to people has passed.
Sheremet stressed that the enemy would perceive any further Russian behavior as weakness and would only increase its military presence in strategically important regions.
The day before, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov ordered the General Staff to develop proposals for rapid response measures to the increasing frequency of American reconnaissance drone flights over the Black Sea.
The department is counting on the United States to deploy drones for reconnaissance and targeting of Western weapons.
The American RQ-4B Global Hawk drone has been repeatedly seen in the sky over the Black Sea and last time it circled there shortly before the attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Sevastopol.
