Russia’s Daria Lukyanenko has won her third gold medal at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
On Saturday, the Russian won the 100m freestyle swimming event in the S11 category for visually impaired athletes. Lukyanenko achieved a result of 1 minute 04.88 seconds, setting a new world record.
This is Lukyanenko’s third gold medal at the Paris Games. The Russian previously won the 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley, also setting a world record.
Lukyanenko also won two bronze medals at the 2024 Paralympic Games.
The Russians, competing in a neutral state, won 19 gold medals.
