Musya Totibadze released a mini-album Amor Vincit Omnia

Musya Totibadze has released a new mini-album “Amor Vincit Omnia” (“Love Conquers All”), which includes five tracks: “She”, “Sail”, “Night Tales”, “Farewell”, as well as a cover of Alla Pugacheva’s hit “Siren”.

“Amor Vincit Omnia is both a line from Virgil’s eclogue and a painting by Caravaggio, which I love very much, with a very playful punk humour, with a cheeky Cupid, and for me this is, above all, a motto. which I truly believe in. I believe that love is the true conquering force. I would like this to be, in fact, the only thing that motivates a person,” Musya shared.

The main sources of inspiration for the album “Amor Vincit Omnia” were three cities: Paris, Tbilisi and Moscow. “For the last six months I have been regularly travelling somewhere because of my tour with the play “The Lost Mirror”, but these cities stand out from each other. I was baptized in Paris, my parents moved here for a short time in the late 1990s, and our beloved grandmother Nana lived here for 25 years. For a long time this city seemed too bourgeois and empty to me, but in May I fell in love with it again. She walked a lot, visited her grandmother’s grave in the Montmartre cemetery, where she had good company: Dalida, Stendhal and Berlioz. I thought about what a pity it was that she didn’t know how great we had become,” said Musya.

“I lived the most terrible year of my life in Tbilisi. There is so much love that knocks you down. I feel very beautiful and strong in spirit there. We have a complex relationship with Moscow, my hometown: sometimes abusive, sometimes happy: I close myself off, sometimes I feel jealousy and hatred, sometimes happiness and love. I think this album turned out to be very personal,” Musya concluded.

We remind you that the jewelry brand Avgvst launched the “Close Concert” project – acoustic video performances of artists that were recorded in Avgvst spaces.

The first was Musi Totibadze’s performance in a Moscow boutique on Chistye Prudy.
