The incident occurred on Saturday around 8:45 p.m. on one of the U1 lines.
The teenager could not be detained immediately, and both he and his friend, with whom he entered the subway, were placed on the wanted list.
As the Vienna police informed journalists on Sunday, after the subway stop, numerous special forces began to comb the neighboring stations and the city areas adjacent to the stations.
The boy was soon detained in one of the carriages. The toy gun was seized and the subway resumed service.
Now, apparently, parents will have to shell out a lot of money to pay the fine.
