“The variety of pumpkins is very wide. They came to us from Rostov, Volgograd, Dagestan, Kuban and, of course, Astrakhan,” said Taras Belozerov, a spokesman for the Moscow Department of Trade and Services.
Belozerov added that, on average, a kilogram of watermelon costs 45-50 rubles, and a kilogram of melon costs 70 rubles. It’s cheaper than what the merchants have been selling so far. In particular, watermelons cost an average of 60 rubles per kilogram.
