As part of the implementation of this multi-year project, the team of authors collected biographies of 722 residents of Nizhny Novgorod: Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of Russia and holders of the Order of Glory.

In September 2018, the first volume of the Nizhny Novgorod book was published in memory of 168 residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region who received the highest state awards.

All organizations and individuals who donated their money as part of the charity fundraiser are published in the Book of Memory and have the opportunity to receive a copy of the second and third volumes as a gift.

For Vladimir and Alexandra Kurguzov, the scrapbook is now a family heirloom. His parents came to Berlin and their grandchildren should know and remember their history.
