Young people from all regions of the country gathered in the capital of the Kamchatka Territory the day before. Immediately after their arrival, they were able to participate in activities aimed at getting to know each other and the key places in the territory.
During the forum, the boys will join one of 23 thematic clubs, which are divided into five areas: “Reserved Issues”, “Natural Components”, “Ecology and Society”, “Ecological Sciences” and “Development of Territories”. Mentors are attached to each club. Among them are the Candidate of Political Science, Associate Professor, Vice-Rector for Development, Head of the Office of the Rector of MGIMO Artem Malgin, Pilot-Cosmonaut, Hero of Russia Serey Revin, Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Ivan Sovetnikov, General Director of the Alliance for Sustainable Development Andrey Sharonov and other industry experts. On the basis of the results of the work, the participants will present a youth magazine containing an analysis of the problems of the ecological state of Russia and proposals for improving the situation.
The plenary session “Russia’s Primordial Nature: We Preserve It Together” kicked off the forum. It was attended by the Governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya, Chairman of the Youth Policy Committee of the State Duma Artem Metelev, Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Social and State Movement of Children and Youth “Movement of the First” Grigory Gurov, Director of the Directorate for the Implementation of State and Industrial programs in the field of ecology of “Rosatom” Andrey Lebedev, director of the department of state policy and regulation in the field of development of specially protected natural areas Irina Makanova and the governor of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov.
“We are happy that the forum is developing and of course for us it is more than a forum. The discussions, discussions and the development of proposals will be reflected in the practical implementation. They will be able to actively participate in the creation of projects to preserve the nature of the region. The most important thing is not to dwell on the ideas that will be developed. Based on the results of the forum, which was held last year, we managed to do much of what the guys suggested: we are working on creating a year-round center of youth competence in the field of ecology, creating ecological trails . And, of course, we will continue to put his ideas into practice,” said Vladimir Solodov, Governor of the Kamchatka Territory.
According to Alexei Chekunkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Kamchatka is the right place to reflect on the problems of conservation of natural resources.
“We are discussing how to protect the environment without slowing down the economy. In many contexts, ecology has already become almost a dirty word: governments, international NGOs and corporations use the ‘green’ agenda as a public relations tool. and competition, often without scruples”. . The Forum “Ecosystem. Reserved Land” is jointly organized by the government of the Kamchatka Territory and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. It is included in the line of the Rosmolodezh.Events platform. Traditionally, within the framework of the event, a competition for Rosmolodezh grants will be held. Authors of environmental projects will be able to receive up to one million rubles for their implementation. In addition, each participant will have the opportunity to become part of the “Ecosophy” project of the presidential platform “Russia – a land of opportunities” and become part of the reserve of youth personnel of the Russian nature reserve system.
The solemn closing of the forum will take place on August 6 on the main square of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The evening will end with the performance of the singer Yolka.
