According to the Department of Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Baltic city region, the builders found ammunition from the time of the Great Patriotic War when installing the sewers. This happened in the courtyard of an apartment building at 16 Gogol Street.
The area was immediately cordoned off by police and military personnel. The rescuers promise, together with the staff of the Nevsky Rescue Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, to remove the bomb by lunchtime. It is eliminated in one of the firing ranges of the Baltic Fleet.
While the works last, the residents of the nearest houses will be evacuated, and the school number 4 named after the Hero of Russia Vladimir Nosov will also stop working.
