According to the republic’s traffic police, a family from Moscow stopped on the side of the road to look at the trail of the Arctic Circle. The girl ran across the street in the wrong place when a car was moving by her.
A 48-year-old resident of Murmansk was driving at the prescribed speed, when he saw a boy on the road, he tried to avoid a collision. But he did not succeed.
The injured girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where she died shortly after. The accident is under investigation.
