The collaboration between the British College of Design and outerwear brand Kakvata resulted in creative design concepts for accessories for students on the British Textile Design programme.
Young designers, supervised by Nina Veresova, developed and presented original projects and kept in touch with the real client for four months. The winners are looking forward to the implementation of the idea in the limited release “British” & Kakvata in the fall of 2023.
The students immersed themselves in the study of the design process, from the idea to the final implementation: they learned how to create a creative moodboard, analytical drawings to find shapes and textures, design sketches and collages, and also studied the characteristics of different fills, processing and seams
“The training project with Britanka is a great experiment-exploration for our entire team, and we really appreciate the learning journey we have traveled together. Thank you to all the students for your participation and brilliant ideas! And with the winners, we still have many hours of joint work in production, where we will create a collection of drops! Recall that previously the Kakvata brand presented a limited spring collection Vesna Drop 2.3. The lookbook was filmed in Paris.
