There is good news on the Russian car market. Last July, sales increased by 168.8%, reports the Avtostat agency. That is, it is 2.7 times more than in July of last year. If we talk about sales for the first 7 months, here our car market is in the black – 28.2% more than in the same period last year.
The Russian market leader remains the domestic brand LADA, which accounted for almost 29% in July. In addition, the success of Lada Vesta, which came in second place after Granta, is striking. This is immediately followed by six Chinese brands. But the indicators of the “Koreans” have decreased.
According to the results of 7 months, LADA cars are also in the lead, followed by Chinese, while Korean Kia and Hyundai, as well as Japanese Toyota, began to buy worse.
– The general increase in sales is explained by the low base of the disastrous last year, then our car market practically bottomed out, – Igor Morzharetto, an expert partner in cars of the Avtostat company, commented on the situation for kp.ru. – In addition, in July, people actively flocked to car dealerships in anticipation of August 1: for imported cars, from this date, the recycling fee was increased.
