Charli XCX has shared a video for the track “Speed Drive”. She recorded the song for the movie “Barbie”. The directors were Ramez Silyan, who directed the documentary Lil Peep: Everything for Everyone, and Charlie herself.
In the frame, the artist drives a pink Chevrolet Corvette convertible with model and designer Devon Lee Carlson until she is interrupted by a video call from Sam Smith, who wrote another song for Barbie. The soundtrack album for the movie “Barbie” was released on July 21.
Songs for the film were written by Dua Lipa, Billy Eilish, Nicki Minaj, Lizzo, PinkPantheress, and other stars. The record introduces listeners to Barbie and Ken from different eras, styles, and images.
It was previously reported that Margot Robbie, who starred in the Barbie movie, was earning approximately $50 million in royalties (as an actress) and a percentage of the box office (as a producer). We talk about it in more detail here.
