Traveler turned out to be not at all what it originally wanted to be: at the premiere of the concept, a frame SUV with a layout suitable for this incarnation was announced, but the model is a crossover with a monocoque body, McPherson strut front suspension, rear multi-link system and all wheel drive on Borg Warner clutch. Yes, outside the asphalt there is an electronic blocking and assistance.
The Traveler measures 4,785mm long, 2,006mm wide and has a wheelbase of 2,800mm. Everything is about the same as on the Tank 300: 4760 mm, 1930 mm and 2750 mm, respectively. Only “Tank” is an SUV on a frame. Therefore, Jetour Traveler is even closer to Haval Dargo.

The basic power unit of the Chery sub-brand crossover is a combination of a 1.5-liter turbo engine (184 hp, 290 Nm) and a 7-speed DCT robot. A two-liter four-liter turbo engine (254 PS, 390 Nm) is also available, which is also paired with a robotic transmission. The declared friendship of the older engine with the Aisin 8-band automatic transmission has not yet been abandoned. In November, the Traveler should have a hybrid version, but it won’t have 4×4 drive.
The price range of Jetour Traveler in China is 140,900 to 180,900 yuan (1.82 to 2.34 million rubles). In Russia, the novelty should appear at the beginning of 2024, and, focusing on the Haval Dargo price list, it can cost 3.2-3.5 million rubles, adjusted for the price increase.
