The head of the list for Valencia to the Compromís-Sumar Congress of Deputies for the last general elections, Àgueda Micó, has threatened this Tuesday not to support the investiture of Pedro Sánchez as president of the Government if he does not assume the forgiveness of the historical debt of the Valencian Community, which increased to 40,000 million euros as a result of regional underfinancing.
This has been stated by the leader of Compromís in a statement to Cadena SER, where he has also made a reform in the regional financing system a condition for offering his support to Sánchez. These two claims, he assures him, are key points in the Valencian agenda with which Sumar presented himself to 23-J, for this reason he trusts that the negotiators of the formation led by Yolanda Díaz will also assume them. Along these lines, Micó explains that until a new financing system is launched, they will demand an increase in the annual financing received by the Community until it reaches the levels of the state average.

For his part, the president of the Generalitat Valenciana is an “irrevocable and indisputable” issue.
“I am in favor of compensating the Valencian Community, that the formulas be studied, but not a step back,” he said to criticize “the rumors of agreeing again in the dark room of separatism, perks and privileges,” that cause him “terror and indignation”.
