Deoleo has recorded losses of 34 million euros in 2023, a year marked by constant increases in the price of raw materials and unfavorable forecasts, both in quality and quantity of the next harvest, as reported by the company in a statement. .
The firm has indicated that, in such a “challenging context”, they have decided to prioritize the defense of the gross unit margin, managing to increase the sales figure by 1% despite the drop in volumes due to the inflationary context and high prices.

In this way, the company that manufactures products such as Carbonell and Hojiblanca has recorded a turnover in 2023 of 837.6 million euros, which represents an increase of 1%, while thanks to the defense of the gross unit margin it has achieved a result gross operating profit (Ebitda) of 30 million euros, 30% less than in 2022.
“We have closed an exceptionally challenging and highly volatile year, chaining two consecutive years of very limited harvests, both in terms of quality and quantity, and prices at historic levels.
