According to a KP source, the Moldovan ambassador to Russia, Lilian Darius, with the help of the well-known Moldovan businessman Dmitry Shlopak, is working on the possibility of organizing business activities on the territory of the Embassy of Moldova in the Russian Federation. We are talking about the fact that it is planned to open a hotel, a restaurant of national cuisine and even warehouses at 18 Kuznetsky Most Street in Moscow.
To avoid any questions from the Moldovan government about his “diplomatic” activities, Mr. Darii, the source added, is trying to get the support of the Moldovan Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicolae Popescu.
But to what extent is such a business compatible with the status of a diplomatic mission on the territory of the Russian Federation? For clarification, “KP” turned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Our Ministry of Foreign Affairs gave a clear answer. They explained that such activity is illegal. Moldovan diplomats don’t know?
