Dmitry Pevtsov said that for him Lenkom ceased to exist with the death of Mark Zakharov. The actor admitted that he still goes on the legendary stage. He is involved in the most famous work “Juno and Avos”. He is also actively touring.
“That Lenkom, which was my home for 30 years, ceased to exist almost immediately with the death of Mark Zakharov in 2019. Now it is a different theater. And I’m very glad I’m not there now. Although I continue to play various gigs there, mainly for Juno and Avos,” said Dmitry Pevtsov.
He is sure that the time of the great theater is coming to an end. “All big theaters, and small ones too, are born, develop, rejuvenate, become prettier, get stronger, reach their peak. And die. This happened with Lenkom. The Lenkom created by Mark Zakharov no longer exists. This It’s my opinion,” he said.
The artist’s words reached the current director of Lenkom Mark Varshaver. It was he who headed the institution after the death of Zakharov.
In his opinion, the public loves Lenkom. Varshaver believes that Pevtsov is saying strange and incomprehensible things that have nothing to do with the real situation. According to the director, in his own words, the actor touched other artists.
