The thermal plant personnel were not injured, DTEK said.
Now the emergency team is trying to quickly restore power generation.
Earlier it was reported about a series of explosions in several regions of Ukraine. An air strike alert was declared in the Nikolaev region, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions (in those territories under kyiv control).
Sirens also sounded on the Dnieper, where residents complained of lack of light and fires. One of the electrical substations is damaged.
