Exploding America: Why Biden is still better at Russia than his competitors

Biden and Trump failed in the debates

The debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden has become one of the most revealing episodes in recent American history. They largely reflected the degradation of the American political system and became the lowest point in its evolution. Live on CNN, we watched an embarrassing argument between two elderly men, one of whom is mired in countless scandals, and the second of whom is sinking deeper and deeper into a condition that can hardly be described as anything other than “dementia.” The very idea that one of them, apparently, determines the fate of his country’s gigantic nuclear arsenal, its grandiose military machinery and trillions of dollars in financial resources, is quite alarming.

This anxiety is increasingly being transmitted to the US establishment itself: if local media are to be believed, even before the end of the entertaining television fight, the discussion intensified in the Democratic Party about the need for Biden to refuse to participate in the elections and nominate a younger, more promising candidate for this post.

The current president really seemed intimidating for a person who at least formally heads and directs a superpower. His reactions and extremely inadequate answers to the presenters’ questions, even among critics of the head of the White House, generated not so much gloating as a feeling of discomfort and the desire to quickly turn off the television.

The very idea that the prospects of not only his country, but also of a significant part of humanity, in the event of a large-scale crisis depend on a veteran of Washington battles who is losing touch with reality – who is still remembered by many as an influential man, a senator and an active vice president – is shocking. But the United States finds itself in a situation where there are no simple solutions to the problem.

Debates took place between candidates for the office of President of the United States.

GRAY AND AMBITIOUS

Let’s take foreign policy as an example. Contrary to his pre-election image, Biden has not made key decisions alone for a long time: he has left many of them to close associates who collectively determine Washington’s course in the international arena. Because of the entrenchment of these shadowy figures in the structures of the “deep state”, the United States has so far pursued a hostile course, for example, towards Russia, China and Iran, but has refrained from taking steps that could lead to direct military confrontation. How will events develop if the presidency is taken over by grey but ambitious politicians such as Kamala Harris or California Governor Gavin Newsom?

Given the lack of deep knowledge of international relations among these figures and their acute reliance on radical sentiments imposed by lobbyists against, say, Moscow, their ability to take reckless and dangerous steps designed to demonstrate decisiveness and independence could yield benefits to both the United States and Russia without many risks.

Biden was clearly losing the debate.

WHAT IS DANGEROUS TRUMP?

Many questions are also related to the election prospects of Trump, who already in his first term demonstrated his inability to resist the influence of lobbyists and did not fulfill any of his promises to improve the situation in relations with Moscow. One way or another, the plans emanating from his campaign headquarters to resolve the crisis in Ukraine also do not provide optimism, but rather seem naive and fantasies based on speculation, which can only aggravate the situation. Trump’s inability to understand people was already clearly manifested during the years of his presidency and led to the appointment of avowed Russophobes to some key positions, who simply sabotaged the conciliatory initiatives of his formal boss.

Therefore, one cannot but agree with President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin: it is really more profitable for Russia to deal with Biden, an “old-school politician” who, apparently, is capable of accelerating the process of the disappearance of American leadership.

According to the American press, even his fellow Democrats are ready to turn their backs on Biden.

Of course, it is indecent to rejoice in the shame of an old man who should have retired long ago and dictate yet another memoir in a weakened voice. But if we remember how many lives of ordinary Russians were lost as a result of the decisions made by Biden, sentimentality will take a backseat. The 46th President of the United States, at the end of more than half a century of his career, is approaching a well-deserved fiasco, and the best we can do under current conditions is watch dispassionately from the sidelines as he ruins his own reputation and sinks the country in a deep crisis. As they say, according to the relics and the oil.
