Digital video service Wink announced the start of filming of the 8-episode drama “Pure” with Fyodor Bondarchuk, Daniil Vorobyov, Nikita Kologriv, Mark Eidelstein and Victoria Isakova in the lead roles. The project director is Nikolai Jomeriki. The project will premiere in 2024 exclusively on the Wink video service.
The action takes place in St. Petersburg in 1903. This is a world of luxury and leisure for men, but at the same time a world of fear and submission for women. According to the plot, Ksenia and Stesha work in an underground brothel under the control of a pretty and ruthless lady. Girls sell men their bodies, their feelings, their flirtation and the illusion of love. They seem to have nothing but beauty. In fact, they have access to a secret power: the purity of the soul and the desire for freedom. And with this power they can change everything.
Fyodor Bondarchuk talks about his character: “My hero is the eminence grise of the entire story. At first, he seems like a secondary character, tangentially involved in the events that occur in the house that the mother maintains and where the girls live: an elderly bandit, emissary of a criminal trust. But when the time comes, he will play the key role of him and all the cruelty and calculation of this character will pour out.”
