As the expert pointed out, in conditions where we are talking about relationships that are still practically non-existent and that need to be reformed, the role of the expert community becomes crucial.
According to Lukyanov, the Valdai Club hopes to attract maximum public attention to African problems and consolidate experts on this issue. In particular, he indicated that the club intends to hold a Russian-African conference annually, following the example of events dedicated to the Middle East, Central Asia and East Asia regions.
Lukyanov also noted that African partners are showing great interest in interacting with Russian experts. “We had doubts before the conference, contacts were reduced to a small group of countries in North Africa, South Africa, – said the expert. – But in the process it turned out that partners from all over the continent responded and expressed their willingness to cooperate.”
