The Summer Grand Prix has returned to television thanks to TVE. With Ramón García again as presenter of the family space, the program has successfully arranged its broadcasts this Monday, July 24. In this first installment, the towns of Alfacar and Colmenarejo faced each other in a hectic night with some of the most emblematic events of the program. In total, eight municipalities will fight for an economic prize of 30,000 euros.
Of the eight participating towns in this new season of the Grand Prix, the two that manage to reach the grand final will compete for the 30,000 euro prize in a grand final that will put the finishing touch on the return of the contest to television. In this way, the money that the winner will receive falls compared to the initial prize, which in 1995 was 6,000,000 pesetas (36,000 euros).
In total, seven programs will be carried out and, in each of them, two municipalities will face each other in different tests, accumulating the maximum possible points. The Grand Prix in 2023 will feature four programs in its elimination round. Afterwards, two semifinals will be played from which the two participants in the grand final will come out.
Tests and games of the Grand Prix 2023
With its return to the small screen, the Grand Prix faces what is its 15th season. The historic television program, which this time does not have its emblematic heifer, will feature some of the mythical games such as Crazy Trunks, Bowling (now Super Bowling), Dictionary, Hot Potato and Diaper Basketball.
However, it will also add new tests such as a ramp that will be hooked at two heights to play La Nursery and Climb as You Can, two gymkhanas in which the Dinosaur will be present; a turntable for Alice in Caidillas Country; Los Ki-monos, an aerial gymkhana above the pool; giant fans in the Pilot Dog and, finally, if someone misses Las Manos… they will return in the form of penguins.
Among the novelties, the Niko Dinosaur stands out, especially due to its size. This new character will be in the gymkhanas and in some of the games bothering the players before finishing the test and interacting with Ramón, Michelle and Cristinini. We will see him as both a dinosaur and a dragon, according to the test.
