The republican department of Rospotrebnadzor noted that the main reason for the suspension of the camp was the group incidence of intestinal infections among children. What caused the outbreak of infection, specialists from Rospotrebnadzor are now establishing. But during the epidemiological investigation, they have already revealed violations of the mandatory sanitary and epidemiological requirements.
“All the children who showed signs of the disease were hospitalized, they are given all the necessary medical attention. The condition of the victims is satisfactory,” the department stressed.
Following the outbreak of an intestinal infection, the head of the Altai Republic, Oleg Khorokhodin, instructed the regional Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Labor, as well as city and district authorities to check the work of food units in all existing children’s camps, compliance with sanitary regulations and safety requirements.
In the “Mountain Eaglet” camp, located in the village of Kamlak, Shebali region, 67 children from 7 to 17 years old sought medical help with signs of intestinal disease. The investigative authorities of the Republic of Altai have already initiated a criminal case for the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements.
