“A big and significant day is coming for our hometown. I am sure that you are waiting for it as much as I am. You yourself know what era we live in. According to the mayor, despite the cancellation of some events, the city has prepared local activities for residents and guests of the Kuban capital in honor of the 230th anniversary of the founding of Krasnodar. He also wished the residents of Krasnodar a peaceful sky.
Krasnodar was founded in 1793 by the Black Sea Cossacks, to whom Empress Catherine II issued a Letter of Grant for the Kuban lands. Initially, the city was named after Empress Ekaterinodar. In 2018, Krasnodar was officially recognized as a city with a population of one million.
