The official partner country of Innoprom-2024 is the United Arab Emirates, one of the political and economic heavyweights of the Middle East. According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, last year the trade turnover between our countries exceeded 10 billion dollars. The Arab delegation, consisting of 120 people, is headed by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies Sultan bin Ahmed al-Jaber. The national exhibition will occupy 1,000 square meters. In addition, as part of the business program, a strategic business forum “Russia – UAE” is planned, where the prospects for joint development of medicines and training of personnel in nuclear medicine, production automation, production of equipment for rehabilitation, various types of transport, new materials and components will be discussed.
In addition to the UAE, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Belarus are preparing national exhibitions. Companies from China, Turkey, Iran, Egypt and Pakistan will also be represented at the exhibition. The first pavilion will be occupied by leaders in the mechanical engineering and energy sectors. In the second pavilion, the stand of the Ministry of Industry and Trade will be the centre of attraction. It will be adjacent to metallurgical projects, industrial IT and industrial automation.
The main stand of the third pavilion is the stand of the Sverdlovsk region, which owns Innoprom. It is made in the style of constructivism. Here 27 leading companies of the region with a high export potential in the mechanical engineering, chemical, energy and information technology sectors will present their achievements. The stand will host about 40 business events on such topics as investments in projects that form technological sovereignty, human resource development, SMEs in industry, urban environment, logistics and energy saving, said Vadim Tretyakov, Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk region.
The main theme of Innoprom will be technological collaboration. A hundred events are planned, divided into seven main areas: innovation in industry (robotics, automation, additive and space technologies, including the development of private space systems and digital platforms), global engineering, new mobility technologies (serial production of unmanned aircraft systems), development of the low-carbon market in Russia, labor productivity.
On July 10, a forum for component manufacturers will take place: B2B meetings of small and medium-sized component manufacturers with purchasing managers from major industrial companies in a speed-dating format. “Dialogue with a sales representative” is another popular format among exporters: last year, more than 1,400 such meetings were held at the exhibition, where the conditions for entering the markets of 50 countries were discussed.
There will also be time for relaxation: during the days of Innoprom, a festival of Ural cuisine will be held in Yekaterinburg, and special dishes will be available in five restaurants. Visitors and exhibitors will be able to taste borscht with duck, smoked pear and sour cream, fermented baked milk ganache with honeysuckle sorbet, ravioli with porcini mushrooms, cabbage stuffed with pike perch on a rhubarb leaf with crayfish tails, tongue stewed in currant wine with kvass glaze. For dessert – a dessert made from pine cones.
More than 140 certified tour guides are ready to accompany business tourists.
– Two flagship programmes are planned, including visits to companies and a sightseeing tour of Yekaterinburg. On July 9 and 10, groups will visit a glass-blowing workshop and an organic farm where vegetables are grown. There are also requests for fishing, riding the retro train, visiting Irbit and Verkhnyaya Pyshma,” says Elmira Tukanova, head of the department for the development of tourism and hospitality in the Sverdlovsk region.
