Investment funds increased their assets by 4,015 million euros in February, 1.1% more, reaching a new historical high of 365,200 million euros in total. According to the report, published this Friday by Inverco, the capital of January investment funds between January and February has risen by 8,282 million euros, 2.4% more.
With an average profitability of 0.7% in February, investment funds have once again received positive net deposits of over 1,700 million euros, now marking forty consecutive months with positive subscriptions. During the second month of the year, 40% of the increase in the volume of assets was a consequence of new inflows, and 60% responded to portfolio revaluations due to the market effect.
In fixed income, capital has grown by almost 1.1 billion euros, thanks to new inflows, since profits have varied depending on the horizon of its reference bonds, says Inverco.
Variable income funds
Although most investment categories have experienced growth in their assets in February, international equity funds have grown the most. Its positive flow, with an increase of 2,000 million euros, is mainly due to the returns provided by the stock markets.
