Kuban parliamentarians evaluated the development of water sports in the region – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

The draft resolution was presented by Kuban Deputy Sports Minister Alexey Ivanov. More than 57 thousand compatriots are dedicated to it in the region. The national teams of the region include 1,025 athletes, who in 2023 alone won 372 medals of various denominations in competitions of different levels.

The draft document includes information on the training and retraining of coaches and the advanced training of sports judges.

Particular attention is paid to the development of water sports infrastructure. According to the data presented, currently about 40 sports complexes with a swimming pool operate in the Kuban. The presence of this base in the region, the natural and climatic conditions make it possible to organize the training process almost all year round. Municipalities that have these resources must, as noted, use them in full, and local sports and physical education organizations must pay more attention to meeting the requirements of the federal sports training standard and providing them with sports equipment and equipment.

Based on the results of the consideration, a resolution was adopted. He highlighted the positive work of the structures specialized in the development of aquatic sports and the training of high-level athletes.

Commenting on this topic, the ZSK president recalled that our region has two seas with a coastline of approximately 1,200 kilometers, as well as countless estuaries, rivers and lakes.

“There are all conditions for the active development of water sports, including rowing and sailing. Today a lot is being done to popularize them. In February, the government launched the interdepartmental program “Swimming for all”, drawn up at the request of the president. “I am sure that water sports will be enjoyed. There are great prospects in the region and Kuban athletes will continue to delight Russian fans with great achievements in competitions of different levels,” said ZSK director Yuri Burlachko, commenting on the adopted resolution. .

The head of the regional parliament also expressed confidence that the relevant ministry and the ZSK committee will join forces to organize and carry out the sailing regatta scheduled for May 9, which will cover three Black Sea municipalities: Anapa, Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik .
