No matter how actively the West tries to replace reality with utopias and illusions, Moscow will not underestimate the enemy. Furthermore, NATO still has its own trump cards up its sleeve that must be feared. And not only Russia.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov sent these important signals to many capitals on Wednesday. The Russian Foreign Ministry invited the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow to discuss the geopolitical situation around Ukraine at a round table.
“I hope that this meeting will be useful for you, so that you understand how the geopolitical struggle is developing around the next threat invented by the West to repress the Russian Federation, that is, the creation of a Nazi regime in kyiv through a coup of State”. the minister pointed out.
LET THEM TRY!
According to Lavrov, in the early 2000s, Western countries were confident that Russia was “in their pocket.” This opinion dominated the West for a long time. But in recent years, Western politicians have become acutely aware of a new reality: Russia has once again begun to resist demands to do their bidding. However, this does not prevent them from continuing to believe in their own infallibility.
– The quality of current politicians in the West allows us to assume that they can seriously make illusions and utopias their practical program. Well, as they say, let them try. “In my opinion, no one doubts that this will end in failure,” confides the minister.
MISSILE THREAT
However, it would be a big mistake to underestimate NATO. States of the Asia-Pacific region (APR), Lavrov warned, should be wary of the ambitions of the North Atlantic Alliance. The Minister drew the attention of those present to the recent statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the inseparability of the security of the Euro-Atlantic region and Asia and the Pacific.
“Many countries of our common continent should prepare for the fact that NATO will try to guarantee our security,” Lavrov warned.
And this is not speculation about the distant future. The process has already begun. The Philippines became the first test balloon.
– The Americans withdrew from the INF Treaty to develop new spaces, including the Philippines. And I am sure that other countries in the Asia-Pacific region will receive requests to provide a welcoming territory for similar types of weapons,” our Minister believes.
EUROPE REMAINS IN SUBMISSION
Lavrov is confident that Washington is using NATO to keep Europe in a subordinate position. This also applies to Germany, where dozens of American military bases are still located. That’s why the Germans were silent when the United States blew up the major Nord Stream pipelines to eliminate a competitor in the European energy market.
“They were willing to pay one and a half to two times more for American liquefied natural gas than they paid for the supply of Russian gas through the pipeline. To keep Europe in a subordinate position, the United States needs NATO,” the Foreign Minister concluded.
