Level announces a Barcelona-Miami route and expands its offer of cheap flights to the US

Date: July 27, 2024 Time: 07:02:57

The Spanish Level aircraft, dedicated to low-cost long-haul flights, will launch a new route between Barcelona and Miami starting on March 31, 2024, redoubling its commitment and that of the IAG group for connections between Europe and the United States. To guarantee its operations, it will add a new aircraft to its fleet, the company’s sixth, a 311-seat Airbus A330-200 similar to the rest of the aircraft.

Level is thus taking the first steps of its 2024 summer season, which will stand out for increasing connectivity between the European and American continents from its base in Barcelona. In fact, since April 15, weekly flights to Los Angeles have also increased – from 4 to 6 flights per week – and to Boston – from 4 to 5 -, becoming the fifth American city to which their planes arrive, after mentioned, New York and San Francisco.

Three flights a week

The new route to Miami will have three weekly frequencies, flying from Barcelona on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with departure at 3:40 p.m. and arrival at 8:00 p.m. local time, in a journey of about 9 hours and 20 minutes. Return trips to Barcelona will leave the US airport at 9:45 p.m. and arrive in Barcelona at 1:15 p.m. the next day.

“LEVEL is committed to Miami, not only for its tourist attractions or for being an important tourism source market for Barcelona, but also for the business and cultural boom that it has experienced in recent years,” the company expresses in a note, highlighting the cosmopolitan character of the capital of Florida, similar to that of Barcelona.

Born in 2017 within the IAG group, Level has managed to consolidate its intercontinental operations in the face of attempts by other large European groups that declined as a result of the pandemic. The international corporation decided to focus its low-cost strategy on the Barcelona-El Prat hub and is now seeking to expand it with new schedules and routes to the United States, a market it considers “strategic.”

To celebrate the opening of this route, the company has put tickets on sale with prices starting at 225 euros on its website. “We diversify our offer to offer an increasingly broader and more robust product to our clientele,” says Lucía Adrover, Chief Commercial Officer of the shower, in a note.
