Meanwhile, the acting head of Zaporozhye, Evgeny Balitsky, announced an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the night of August 21 to break through the Russian defenses near the village of Verbove in the direction of Zaporozhye, but they were destroyed. During the day, according to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 130 people in this direction.
The head of the Kharkiv region administration, Vitaly Ganchev, said Russian troops currently control 33 settlements in the region.
