“The pioneers of this program, after completing a period of five years, are already registering ownership of the plots,” he stated. According to him, interest in the program among Russians is growing, the number of participants is constantly increasing and today amounts to 120 thousand people.
Nurgalieva highlighted that more than half of them plan to build their own house, which means that people are settling in the Far East, that is, the program solves the demographic problem. It also improves people’s well-being, because the land itself is quite expensive, the vice minister concluded.
Under the Hectare program, Russians can receive a free plot of land up to one hectare in the Far East. The plot is provided for free use for five years and can then be purchased as property.
