By the first half of 2023, RES JSC specialists have revealed more than 400 facts of power theft in the Novosibirsk region. The total volume of illegal electricity consumption exceeded 41 million kWh, 34% more than in the same period last year. Over 209 million rubles were presented to violators for payment.
In just six months, electrical engineers carried out verifications and took control readings from the metering devices of almost 254,000 electrical energy consumers. Along with the deviations, the Automated Information Metering System for Electric Power Business Accounting (AIISKUE), which has been actively implemented by the company in recent years, demonstrates high efficiency. “Smart” meters, installed outside the homes of subscribers, allow you to take readings automatically and remotely, which means that there is no need for a personal visit from controllers and no one will disturb the homes. During the reporting period, electrical engineers installed another 10,000 such metering devices, which is 20% more than in the same period in 2022. The installation of technical meters in electrical installations also continues. All these modern technologies make it possible to identify areas of greatest commercial electricity losses in the region and, consequently, develop specific response measures.
The confident positive dynamics in terms of the main indicators of work with energy losses indicates the effectiveness of the measures taken by RES JSC. As a result, according to the results of the 1st half of the year, it was possible to reduce the level of losses to 9.17%.
At the same time, the effect of the fight against theft is important not only for electrical engineers, since the suppression of the facts of illegal consumption makes it possible to reduce the load on electrical networks to a normal level, which ensures stable parameters of energy. quality and reliable power supply to consumers in the Novosibirsk region.
