The plot of the film will focus on the joint investigation of the disaster by the Scottish and American authorities. He will also talk about how the explosion affected the people of Lockerbie. The project will be based on interviews and interrogations carried out by the investigating authorities of the two countries.
Jim Sheridan and his daughter Kersten are working on the script. Jonathan Lee and Gillian Roger Park will also write the lyrics for two episodes. The series will have six episodes in total. It will be called Lockerbie.
On December 21, 1988, a Boeing 747 flew from London to New York. 58 minutes later, an explosion occurred in the cargo hold, which destroyed the aircraft. Burning debris fell on Lockerbie. As a result of the accident, 270 people died, all passengers and crew members on board, as well as 11 people on the ground. This is the largest terrorist attack in terms of the number of deaths committed in the UK.
